Role overview
The Digital Media Specialist is a key member of the Mindshare account team, responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of digital media campaigns across various biddable channels. This role acts as the primary day-to-day contact for client agency leads, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on campaign strategies and performance. The ideal candidate possesses a sound understanding of digital media principles, hands-on experience with biddable platforms, and excellent communication and analytical skills.
Success is measured by meeting KPIs and deadlines agreed with client and client satisfaction with campaign implementation (as per client evaluation systems or solicited feedback).
Responsibilities
Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for Client Agency Leads, building strong relationships and fostering open communication.
- Maintain regular contact with the client, providing proactive media advice and updates on campaign performance
In-channel Digital Media Planning:
- Prepare comprehensive in-channel strategies for digital media campaigns, encompassing all digital biddable channels (Paid Social, Programmatic Display & Video, Search, etc.).
- Develop and present detailed media plans and tactics to the client, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and KPIs.
- Assess the feasibility of achieving media KPIs, expenditure benchmarks, and client expectations outlined in campaign briefs.
- Support senior staff in creating integrated omnichannel strategies.
Campaign Execution & Coordination:
- Work closely with the GroupM activation team to coordinate planning and buying processes for Paid Social, Programmatic Display and Video, and Direct Buys with local media vendors.
- Prepare and deliver detailed briefs for campaign activation to the GroupM activation team.
- Work closely with the activation team on technical alignment and tactics for each channel.
- Proactively resolve any issues that threaten the quality and timeliness of deliveries with GroupM Activation teams and the Agency staff.
Campaign Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor campaign performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Interpret campaign results, key learnings, and recommendations, presenting them to the client in clear and concise post-buy review presentations.
- Manage the client finance / media delivery / reporting process along with other members of the team.
- Supervise the client’s performance audit based on the quality of media execution (golden rules, ad verification/brand safety, etc.) and price commitments.
- Ensure all campaigns adhere to industry best practices and client-specific guidelines
Desired Skills and Experiences:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar digital media role.
- Experience in a media agency is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Sound knowledge and skills in Biddable Media (providers, market, terminology, trends, specifics, structures and models, mechanism of operation, role in communication strategy).
- Hands-on experience in at least 2 biddable platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, DV360, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting).
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to combine data from various sources and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (minimum B2 level).
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
