The Role

The Senior People Business Partner works closely with key Stakeholders and Business Leads and is responsible for leading on all people matters in their given areas. The Senior People Business Partner will help deliver the objectives and overall strategy of the business and to drive our People function forward.

The Ideal Candidate

The Senior People Business Partner will acquire an in depth understanding of their business areas and people challenges and support stakeholders with identifying and implementing solutions.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent experience in all Employee Relations issues including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE, severances, probation extensions, absence management, flexible working requests etc.
  • Lead on complex ER matters and performance management
  • Understanding the commercial aspects of the business/business acumen
  • Excellent understanding and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and legislation including GDPR and IR35 to reduce risks and keeping abreast of upcoming changes.
  • Have a proven track record as a pro-active and self-motivated HR professional.
  • Knowledge of payroll, compensation, and reward.
  • Experience of managing organisational change.
  • Considerable experience operating as a Business Partner across all aspects of Human Resource Management.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills and able to interface at all levels of the organisation with experience of effective challenging and influencing at a senior manager/director level.  
  • Self-directed with strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in teams or under independent initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Leading change management programs, including Synergy, restructures, redundancies, and TUPE.
  • Overseeing all Employee Relations issues including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE, severances, absence management and ensuring appropriate escalation to GroupM Employee Relations team.
  • Lead salary review process.
  • Manage promotion requests
  • Coaching/supporting stakeholders on all people matters including talent mapping and workforce planning.
  • Partnering with Finance on people resource management e.g. managing and tracking of FTE and contractor requirements.
  • Supporting the roll out of Group wide initiatives e.g. Synergy, Workday and WPP Job Architecture.
  • Gender pay gap analysis.
  • Final payroll checks.
  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition function to ensure a streamlined service.
  • Liaising with People Operations Hub for Advisory services needed by Mindshare Worldwide
  • Developing trust, confidence, credibility, and influence with senior stakeholders to foster collaboration and understand business challenge.
  • Embedding our company values into our culture/EVP
  • Ensuring that all employees are mapped to the correct Job Architecture, to continuously align to the job framework and drive effective employee metrics.
  • Partnering and collaborating with Mindshare globally, Group M and WPP
