Role:Account Director (FTC)Department/Team: SEO & Content

Role Objective

A fixed term contract role exists at Mindshare UK within a large SEO & Content specialist team. We are looking for an SEO & Content Account Director who will play an instrumental role in leading one of our biggest accounts, who is both performance focused and creative and enjoys working as part of a wider team to implement their strategic vision.

 

About the role

 

The candidate will be responsible for leading one of our biggest SEO accounts, Legal & General along with overseeing two smaller accounts. Managing a team of Account Managers and Executives, and reporting into a Business Director, you will deliver best practice strategy for your accounts, setting the standards for delivery and driving results for your clients. The ideal candidate will be able to use their own initiative in setting up processes and expectations for the team; you will lead by example with your proactive approach to challenging the status quo, pushing yourself, your team, and your client to achieve the best results.

Key responsibilities include:

 

    Taking accountability for the output of your team, both client facing and operationally

   Be the central client contact for your client portfolio, capable of dealing with senior management within the client and agency organization

    Lead by example with a proactive approach to interrogating your client’s performance

    Set and challenge strategy for your clients, ensuring it aligns with their business objectives

    Apply best practice rigor to how your accounts are being run

     Maintain a forward thinking and innovative approach in the development of SEO & Content activity

    Build a reputation as a trusted senior advisor for internal and external stakeholders

    Take responsibility for your direct report’s development and career progression

    Review the quality of team output and take appropriate action to improve delivery

    Ensure briefing, planning and finance processes are strictly adhered to by the team

 Be commercially minded, ensuring effective management of available resources; maintain awareness of all scopes of work for your client portfolio

About you

 

Key skills & knowledge:

 

    Exceptional executional SEO & Content experience; using data and insight to develop successful end to end content strategies for your clients

    Data driven – you love using data to inform your strategic thinking

    Proven experience of improving organic performance for your clients

    Extensive experience using SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Adobe AnalyticsScreaming Frog

    Good commercial acumen with ability to accurately scope and identify opportunities to help your clients grow, in turn growing your account revenue

    Strong process capabilities, with an ability to monitor account service levels and support with finance and recruitment processes

    An understanding of how SEO & Content can integrate with other digital and offline channels

    Experience of working with Digital PR and content production teams would be an advantage
