Japan Airlines has announced last week its retention of Mindshare China as its agency of record through 2027. Mindshare China will continue to provide media planning and buying services for Japan Airlines, significantly extending the agency’s existing two-year strong relationship with the airline.
Announcing the appointment, Japan Airlines applauded Mindshare China’s agility in navigating ever-changing travel restrictions and consumer behavior in the market. In addition, the airline highlighted Mindshare’s relentless focus on delivering consistently outstanding service and support throughout their partnership.
The Regional Director of Global Marketing at Japan Airlines, Lisa Xu, said: "Over the last two and a half years, the travel industry in China has faced unprecedented challenges. Throughout this entire time, the team at Mindshare has continued to offer unparalleled support, developing our travel recovery planning and delivering exceptional return on our media investments. The agency has long been considered one of our best partnerships globally, and we are pleased to extend our partnership for another five years."
Commenting on the renewal, Mindshare China’s Chief Executive Officer, Benjamin Condit, said: “An extension like this is built off the back of continuous effort from a world-class team to deliver tangible business impact for their client regardless of the macro environment, paired with a client that prioritizes open, respectful collaboration. We are humbled and honored by this demonstration of trust and look forward to taking to the skies over the next five years with Japan Airlines.”
Mindshare China’s Chief Client Officer, Jessica Zhang, added: “We have been honored to partner with Japan Airlines over the years, and I am confident that our client team, led by Gary Tao, will continue to exceed expectations through 2027 and beyond.
