Some of the Collective’s biggest achievements and milestones in the UK in the last 12 months include:

Inclusion Planning, led by Roots

The Collective, led by Roots, is launching an Inclusion Planning initiative – which will rapidly upskill everyone on intentional inclusive planning and tap into the Collective for frameworks, guidance and consultancy. Our rich collection of cultures, faiths and ethnicities is important to capture in our media plans, as it opens up opportunities for Brands to speak to audiences in a new and more relevant way.  It’s the catalyst for brand purpose to explore new avenues, new causes to champion and more lives to positively impact. So, whether targeting underrepresented people from the disabled, social mobility or LGBTQ+ communities, an intentional mindset and the relevant planning tools will ensure our campaigns are driving good growth among inclusive audiences.

Disability Confident Scheme, led by Mindshare Enable

Enable has registered us with the disability government confident scheme at the start of 2021. The Disability Confident scheme is creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

Youth Employment Charter, led by Declassify

Declassify has initiated a partnership with the Good Youth Employment Charter. The Good Youth Employment Charter has been developed in collaboration with a range of youth employment experts and young people including The Youth Employment Group. It aims to provide a framework to support, inspire and recognise all those employers who are committed to providing good quality opportunities to young people.

Inclusion Festival, organised by the Collective

During National Inclusion Week 2021 (27th September – 3rd October), the Collective at Mindshare UK and Worldwide held its first ever week-long Inclusion festival. The festival comprised of a series of virtual events ranging from sessions discussion how intersectionality helps to create a culture where everyone feels able to bring their true selves to work, to an online fashion show that explored how culture and religion help to shape fashion.
