5 Minutes With Adam Griffith

#TeamMindshare believes in Speed, Teamwork and Provocation. As we adjust to working differently, we're continuing to empower people to challenge the status quo, through what we call Provocation with Purpose. We’re proud to be unmistakably #TeamMindshare and make it the place where we do the best work of our career, grow and have fun. Hear from Adam on how he's adapted, what his biggest learning is and how he stays inspired.

What is the biggest learning from your career?

Loving the work you do every day brings more satisfaction in life than any paycheck could. Working with an agency that cares about its people, having teammates you enjoy working with, and helping clients who strive to make a difference in the world have been very rewarding for me.

One word to describe the last year?

Unpredictable.

Who could have known we would have gone from holding onto our jobs with a white-knuckle grip to so many people just letting go, wild swings in science-based “facts” around infection spread and masks, or that Facebook would struggle so hard to be “King of the (social media) Hill”?  The one thing I know for sure is that nobody really knows anything, but they’re all trying their best.

Best advice you gave out about working remotely?

Get creative to maintain connections with your peers – don’t stop the office chit-chat just because we’re not in person.  Use daily calls as an opportunity to ask about your colleagues’ day or weekend plans, kick off meetings with some music or new show recommendations, and never underestimate the power of a Dad joke!

How have you stayed inspired?

I’ve gotten really nostalgic. In particular, I’ve rekindled my love of 90s and early 2000s bands and TV shows (if you want recommendations, just ask!).  The inspiration comes from the fact that although I look back on those days fondly, I’m reminded that they had their seemingly unsurmountable challenges as well.  I hope one day I look back on the early 2020s with the same mindset.  It sounds cliché but I’ve seriously considered getting the quote “This too shall pass” tattooed on me.
