What motivates you to come to work each day?

What motivates me to come to work each day is that our industry is constantly evolving. There’s always something new to learn and could be useful to our internal teams as well as our clients. Take the metaverse for instance. It’s a space in which something new is coming out about it almost every day but it’s an area that’s going to be pivotal to understand because it has the potential to change the way we advertise going forward like how television and the dotcoms boom changed media. Being able to learn new spaces, partners, etc. truly keeps me engaged and excited about what I do.

What advice do you have for someone interested in media and advertising?

My biggest piece of advice is to be curious. There are so many different paths someone can explore in this industry that you could start doing X and end up pursuing Y. I’ve found that often, if you ask questions, want to shadow someone, or learn more about a specific team, people will go out of their way to help or connect you someone who can. Showing and communicating that curiosity can definitely lead to connections and opening doors.

What is a motto or quote you “live” by?

I’ve always liked the motto “Learn to deal with the valleys, the hills will take care of themselves.” How you confront and deal with a setback or disappointment is critical in the work we do but more importantly in our personal lives.

Failure, regardless of form or magnitude, is almost a given. However, being able to bounce back and learn from that experience can really help you prepare for future dips. But I think the low points also aid in appreciating the wins more and how to handle success moving forward.

What’s a fun fact about you that would surprise people?

A fun fact about me is I played the tuba from the 4th grade through my senior year of high school.
