5 minutes with Sean Clayton

#TeamMindshare believes in Speed, Teamwork and Provocation. As we adjust to working differently, we're continuing to empower people to challenge the status quo, through what we call Provocation with Purpose. We’re proud to be unmistakably #TeamMindshare and make it the place where we do the best work of our career, grow and have fun. Hear from Sean on how he's adapted, what his biggest learning is and how he keeps being inspired.

Your biggest learning from your career?

Positivity and love are a choice, and that every moment that we have we can choose positive or negative. In my view, I find often that it’s not that work is stressful, but that when we choose stress at work it is because we do not see the opportunity in the moment. When we lean into positive choices, the negative that we have attracted fades away and we are less local and more connected to impact our coworkers, our families, and ourselves in a more positive manner. Experiencing and receiving information from the collective consciousness we call work, is an opportunity to grow and give back and influence with a higher purpose.

One word to describe the last few months?

Exciting. Since joining Mindshare I have had to flex new muscles around how we communicate and moreover all of the unique areas of growth we have access to.

Best advice you gave out about working differently?

Time block your day to get the work done. Although remote working can be magical as you can be in France and Florida in the same hour, it does not make up for real human interaction. Find ways to stay connected outside of video calls.

How have you stayed inspired?

I have been on this interesting quest of understanding the human mind and moreover our real purpose. Beyond meditation and reading to understand more about my why, I also stay inspired by seeing my son grow into being responsible and more aware. I also try to stay somewhat in the gym (although COVID is not our friend there) and focus on exciting days ahead of experiencing life differently.
