Meet: Eric Kirsche

Mindshare Unplugged spotlights and interviews #TeamMindshare’s rising talent across the USA. Everything we do is about provocation with purpose. We’re a team that is radically honest – we call this our Authenticity Quotient. We are curious and competitive – that’s our Passion Quotient. We embrace teamwork and adaptability – that’s our Emotional Quotient.

This week, we are featuring Eric Kirsche, Planning and Strategy Manager from Atlanta.

Summarize what you do in one sentence:
I plan and strategize how brands can best connect with people through relevant messaging in the most efficient and effective ways.

What do you think is the most exciting thing happening in media right now?
What is exciting to me is the way digital and social platforms are being used to create connections and togetherness in new necessary ways. Whether it is through the use of video conferencing technologies like Zoom or Skype, to developing cohesive business environments, or Tik Tok and Instagram challenges to create a sense of a virtual community, these platforms are allowing people to stay connected across the world.

What is the biggest challenge you think we are facing in the industry today?
The uncertainty of not knowing how and when things will shake out in the world today and being able to plan media around so many question marks is a challenge that I think everyone in the industry can relate to at the moment. Keeping clients updated with the ever evolving landscape and staying nimble with media plans can help bring some stability to an unprecedented time.

How do you live by the value of teamwork?
I believe teamwork is essential to creating quality work as well as making work a fun, inviting environment. Creating fun activities outside of work like happy hours or team trivia helps develop stonger bonds within the team that will pay dividends inside the walls of the office.

Who inspires you?
My dad inspired me growing up because he was very dedicated to his work and found passion in what he did for a living, but also made sure to always make time for family and friends.

If you could eat only one cuisine for the rest of your life what would it be?
Italian (pizza, pasta, and wine – love it all!)

What would you do with your 15 minutes of fame?
I am a HUGE sports fanatic (all things Atlanta/Georgia) so I would probably use that time to meet some of my idols growing up.
