Instagram introduces multiple audio track feature for Reels

Instagram has launched a new feature allowing users to add multiple audio tracks to their Reels, enhancing creative possibilities. Users can now include up to 20 tracks in a single Reel, enabling varied soundtrack elements to overlap or merge to fit different phases of their clips.

The feature provides greater creative freedom by allowing users to align audio with text, stickers, and clips while editing within Instagram, creating unique audio mixes. These custom mixes can be saved and reused by fans.

Users can play DJ by layering tracks, making abrupt transitions, or blending old and new versions of songs to reflect time passing. The feature is expected to inspire new audio trends on the platform.

Additionally, other users can utilize the audio mixes created, with access to a full listing of the tracks added. This feature joins a series of recent updates on Instagram, including AI labels, a new 'prompts' feature, 'reveal' stickers, chatbot versions of creators, and unskippable ads.

YouTube Music is enhancing song discovery with two new features: an AI-generated conversational radio and a Shazam-like tool for identifying songs by singing, humming, or playing parts of them. The AI radio, available to select Premium users in the U.S., lets users create custom stations based on their preferences.
